Call for Papers

E-business & e-commerce systems utilize digital technologies to mediate intra- and inter- enterprise business transactions. Software agent technologies include standardized frameworks, platforms and methodologies for agent systems development. Intelligent software agents have attractive features like adaptivity, intelligence, autonomy and mobility that, when applied to e-business, are expected to be able to address difficult problems including costs reduction and optimization, profitability and efficiency, interoperability and decision-making, etc. The rich real-world environment of e-business is thus a fertile area for the application and experimentation of intelligent software agents. Difficult research challenges involve the adaptation and application of intelligent software agents to the tight requirements posed by modern e-business.

 

The workshop welcomes high-quality papers covering the following topics of (multi-)agent systems research:

·         Concepts, methodologies, models and architectures

·         Technologies, frameworks, benchmarking and performances

·         Languages and algorithms

·         Applications and experiences  

connected to relevant areas of modern e-business:

·         Trading and e-commerce

·         Manufacturing and logistics

·         Tourism and travel

·         Auctions, negotiation and contracting

·         Supply chain management and cross-enterprise interoperability

·         Business process management and re-engineering

·         Marketing and customer relations management 

·         Business data integration and mining 

·         Content provision, digital rights management and intellectual property

·         Trust, reputation, and security

·         Morality and ethics

 

Papers acceptance will be judged based on their relevance to the workshop themes, clarity of presentation, originality and accuracy of results and proposed solutions.

Paper Submission and Publication

All accepted papers will be included in the Workshop Proceedings, which will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press and will be available at the workshops. Papers must have 4-6 pages and must be formatted according to IEEE Computer Society style. Best papers accepted and presented at this workshop may be selected for publication in a Special Issue of an internationally recognized journal.
