Short bio

I am currently working as lecturer (assistant professor) at the Software Engineering Department, University of Craiova. I am in charge of two courses (Web Applications' Design and Multimedia Technologies in e-Learning), as well as several lab activities. Further information about my teaching activities can be found here.

I am also a member of the Multimedia Applications Development Research Center, University of Craiova. My current research interests include technology enhanced learning, adaptation and personalization in Web-based systems, Web 2.0 and social learning environments, intelligent and distributed computing. I have authored and co-authored more than 50 publications, including journal articles, book chapters and conference papers. I am currently participating in several national and international research projects. I am also actively involved in the research community by serving as program committee member and reviewer for numerous conferences, and organizing an international workshop in the area of social and personal computing for e-learning (DULP&SPeL 2012, SPeL 2011, SPeL 2010, SPeL 2009, SPeL 2008). I obtained my PhD in 2008, from the University of Craiova, Romania and University of Technology of Compiègne, France (double degree). More information about my research activities can be found here.
